WP3 Official Description

WP3 Objective
WP3 aims to develop the Green Finance micro-credential curriculum, to establish a comprehensive, innovative educational program that equips students with essential skills and knowledge in Green Finance, ready for the current and future demands of the sustainable finance sector in ASEAN countries.
T3.1: Material Development (M8-M10)
In T3.1, EU partners develop a specialized green finance training program aimed at trainers from the Asian partner universities. Team 1 (LBUS, UNISI, UT) focuses on Sustainable Investment and Risk Management, covering ESG criteria, green financing, and climate risk strategies. Team 2 (UO, IHF) concentrates on Policy Development and Green Financial Instruments, addressing green policy design and public-private financing for sustainability. Both teams will work in tandem, collaborating to ensure content is tailored to the needs of Asian trainers, who will be actively involved in peer reviews to ensure relevance and applicability to their needs.
T3.2: Training Sessions in Europe (M11-M18)
As part of a circular mobility, Asian partner universities will actively participate in two separate one-week training sessions in Europe, aimed at boosting their technical expertise to consolidate the micro-credential-based training program of green and sustainable finance. The first session on Sustainable Investment and Risk Management will be held at the University of Twente (UT), where trainers from UT, "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu (LBUS), and University of Siena (UNISI) will lead discussions on ESG criteria, green financing, and climate risk mitigation, using materials developed in T3.1. The second session, focused on Policy Development and Green Financial Instruments, will take place at University of Opole, with experts from IHF and Opole leading the training on green finance policies and innovative financial instruments, also based on the content developed in T3.1. Each Asian partner will delegate four academic staff members to these sessions, fostering a rich exchange of expertise, ensuring the training's relevance and impact when they return to their institutions.
T3.3: Asian-Led Delivery & EU Missions (M19-M22)
VN, TH, and PH universities will each design their micro-credential programs in Green Finance, incorporating insights and methodologies learned from the EU-led trainings. After six months of autonomous work, EU partners, between months 19 and 22, will conduct 3 operational missions in VN, TH, and PH (each lasting 8 working days) to monitor, peer-review and support Asian partners' work. Each mission will involve two EU experts: one from Team 1 (Sustainable Investment and Risk Management) and another from Team 2 (Policy Development and Green Financial Instruments). The travel scheme is as follows: Vietnam (VN): UNISI & LBUS (Team 1), IHF (Team 2); Thailand (TH): UT (Team 1), UO (Team 2); Philippines (PH): LBUS (Team 1), UO (Team 2).
