The second version, 23 September 2026
The second version has the same chapters, the same 48 figures, the same sources and the same two appendices. Four figures are redrawn. The transmission channels of chapter 1 run their two dashed cross-channel lines under the loss boxes, each label on its own segment, and the figure prints 25 percent taller. The TCFD pillar figure carries a reworded label and is 0.7 percent taller. The three lines of defence end on "All three lines manage climate risk". The legend of the Vietnamese Climate VaR chart moves to the gap between the two sectors, clear of the USD 281 million label. Its wording is revised: a sentence that defined a thing by what it is not now states what it is, and intensifiers and figurative verbs are replaced by plain ones. The review history on page 2 lists it as version 2.0. Four figure captions that taught by correction now state the claim, among them "All three existing lines of defence manage climate risk". One label follows the rubric it applies: the hypothetical Thai commercial bank of chapter 2 scores 6 of 12, which the rubric's own bands place in basic, and the first version printed developing. The files submitted on 11 September stay above, unchanged, with their checksums.

What the submission convention asks for
The project coordinator set the form of every partner's Work Package 3 material on 14 July 2026 and restated it on 27 July without amendment:
Each training module should consist of 30 to 40 A4 pages in Microsoft Word format. In addition to the theoretical content, each module should include at least one practical or applied activity. Each partner is required to prepare both: a PDF version of the training material; and a PowerPoint presentation summarising the module. [...] please upload both files to the shared Drive folder using the following naming convention: MODULE_NUMBER_PARTNER.pdf, MODULE_NUMBER_PARTNER.ppt
Module 4 belongs to the University of Twente, so the partner token is UT and the three files
carry the stem MODULE_4_UT. The practical activity is Appendix A, a Thailand
catastrophe tail-risk case, and the assessment with its answer key and marking rubric is
Appendix B.

Forty-eight figures sit across those chapters. Each states its own provenance on its face, separating a sourced value from a derived one and from a declared teaching assumption, and a figure whose data could not be sourced is not in the document.
What is in the presentation
Twenty-two slides: the module and its learning outcomes, the six lessons at a glance, why a changing climate reaches a bank as credit risk, then two slides on each lesson from the risk taxonomy to ASEAN vulnerability, the Thailand activity, the assessment, and the acknowledgments that carry the disclosure below.
Length, and the format rules
The document is 56 pages against a stated band of 30 to 40, and the deviation is declared on page 2 of the document itself. Module 4 is diagram-led: it teaches a taxonomy, a set of frameworks, a scenario apparatus, a metric stack and a stress-testing pipeline, and each of those is a structure. With every figure removed the text alone is 38 pages, so the whole band is spent on prose and each figure beyond about five is paid for out of the format rules.
A 40 page edition exists, built from the same source by the same pipeline and differing in one respect, five figures in place of 48. No text, no citation and no appendix differs between the two. It is available from the University of Twente on request.
Use of generative AI
Generative AI was used as a writing and research assistant in preparing this module. The tool was Claude (Anthropic), versions Opus 4.8, Opus 5 and Opus 5.5, used from July 2026 to 8 October 2026. Its use was confined to idea generation and brainstorming, language editing, literature classification, coding assistance for the chart and data-processing scripts, checking recorded numbers and quotations against their published sources, and interactive literature searching. The authors specified and reviewed the content. Every cited source was checked against the original publication, and every figure states its provenance on its own face, distinguishing sourced values from derived values and from illustrative teaching assumptions. The authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, references, and conclusions of the material.
The rest of the module
The submission is the document and the deck. The classroom set around them is published in full: six lecture decks, a participant handout, one-page companions, exercise packs with solutions, and a 67 slide teaching deck.
