March 2026 - Guest Lecture Announcement: Nature Finance#

Upcoming Guest Lecture

Prof. Dr. Ania Zalewska (University of Leicester) will give a guest lecture on Nature Finance as part of the GREEN FINANCE project. Prof. Zalewska leads the Green Finance Technical Advisory Group at the Land Use for Net Zero (LUNZ) Hub, a UKRI-funded research centre. She brings expertise in biodiversity investment, nature markets, and sustainable finance. Her talk will cover both theoretical foundations and quantitative approaches to nature finance.

December 2025 - Grant Agreement Signed (M1)#

Project Officially Launches

The GREEN FINANCE consortium has officially signed the Grant Agreement with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). This marks the formal start of our 36-month journey to transform green finance education in Southeast Asia.

Key Highlights:

  • Grant Agreement No. 101237817 signed
  • 11 partner universities across 8 countries
  • 36-month implementation period: December 2025 - November 2028

February 2025 - Proposal Submission#

The GREEN FINANCE consortium successfully submitted its proposal to the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education call (ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE-STRAND-2).

Proposal Highlights:

  • Comprehensive needs analysis conducted across Vietnam, Thailand, and Philippines
  • Strong consortium with complementary expertise
  • Innovative micro-credential approach to green finance education

Kick-Off Meeting + 3-Day Training (M2) - January 2026#

Location: Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania Date: January 2026

The inaugural consortium meeting will include a 3-day intensive training immediately after:

  • Establish project governance and management rules
  • Present and discuss the Project Management Plan
  • Review Partnership Agreement terms
  • Conduct financial management training
  • 3-day training on: “Development of Micro-Credentials,” “Green Finance and Sustainability,” and “Cooperation between HEIs and the Private Sector”
  • Participants: 3+ academic staff per Asian university (18+ total), 1 expert trainer per EU partner

One-Week Training Sessions in Europe (M11) - October 2026#

Locations: University of Twente (Netherlands) + University of Opole (Poland) Date: October 2026

Two parallel one-week training sessions:

  • Session 1 (UT): Sustainable Investment and Risk Management - ESG criteria, green financing, climate risk
  • Session 2 (Opole): Policy Development and Green Financial Instruments - green policies, innovative instruments
  • Participants: 4 academic staff per Asian HEI (24 total)
